The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Patrick Street (GB), trained by Andrew Kinirons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C.D Smithers, rider of Eyetrap (GB), trained by Aidan Melia, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen and jumped green.

A.P. Kelly, rider of Robindeepot, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame. The IHRB Veterinary officer confirmed the animal to be lame post race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.J. O'Connor, rider of Bluebell Breeze, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who felt his mount was staying on and may have run on to collect some prize money. He further added he though he was closer than he was. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered his record (third offence), they suspended him for eight racedays.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Timothy Doyle, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Getaway Charlie, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that a drop in grade and the cheek pieces helped contribute to todays improvement. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. H.T. Hynes, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Kevin Healy, rider of Milan Forth, weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had some kick back on him and his pad was covered in sweat but other than that he could not account for the discrepancy. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the riders explanation and took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Wild Bill Hickok, trained by Ciaran Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Nastya, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was lame post race. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed the animal to be lame post race.

Mr D. Doyle, rider of Beauforts Storm, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped and he pulled up.

Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Aruntotheace, trained by Martin Brassil, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Touch The Clouds, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Miss J. Townend, rider of Peat Sounds, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stopped quickly.

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Mr. N. Rooney (Chairman), Mr. R. Mahon, Mr. G. McCourt, Mr. Justice Raymund Groarke, Mr. L. Aspell. .

For this race meeting, the Raceday Stewards suspended the ‘Starting Procedures for Tape Starts’, and the IHRB suspended Rule 208 (i) and Rule 209 (i).
